And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.

Friday Open Road
Bakersfield - Portland - Fresno. I've had my fill of the open road this week.
Thanks again for the wonderful "Open Road" post. I always wanted one of those BMW's as shown in photo 1. Never could afford it though. Had a Honda 305 "Dream" that I toured around Arizona, California and Mexico on with my buddy on his Suzuki XK6 "Hustler". Now that I look back on how small our bikes were, I wonder how we did it.
Time to put your feet up and drink a beer. The sun has to be over the yard arm somewhere on the planet.

It was youth and a feeling of invincibility. I remember that well.
