File this on under the heading: "How badly are we boned?"

Federal employees to enjoy a pay raise as of January.

"The budget measure that ended the partial government shutdown allows for a 1 percent raise for federal employees in January in addition to providing back pay for those furloughed, according to two Democratic Maryland senators.
“The promise of a modest pay raise and back pay for furloughed government employees are good first steps in recognizing the value of federal workers,” said Sen. Barbara A. Mikulski, chairwoman of the Senate Appropriations Committee in a joint statement with Sen. Ben Cardin.
“I’m proud we were able to fulfill our promise to make them whole again with back pay and finally break through the pay freeze with a modest adjustment for next year,” said Cardin, a member of the Senate Finance Committee."
So not only did Mitch McConnell get a big hunk of dripping pork for his district in exchange for selling the taxpayers down the river, but the people that work for the government got a nice raise to start the year.
Hey taxpayers, feeling like Santa Claus yet, or would that be complete chumps?  I doubt you'll be getting a thank you card from these people for working so hard for them.  In the meantime, get your azz up and go to work.  The government needs your money to pay off their voting base.
The runaway locomotive heading toward financial collapse is gaining speed.

  1. I'm honored to be able to contribute to hard working federal employees who work tirelessly for my well being. I'm additionally thrilled to contribute to the $2 billion for the dam in Ohio. The dam being necessary since the federal government shut down the coal plants that used to provide power to the grid.

My generosity when it comes to the shiftless supported by the federal government...apparently... knows no bounds.
